Reading Wednesday

Only one book this week but it was really good!

Sorcery and Small Magics, by Maiga Doocy - This was so good! The magic and worldbuilding is fascinating, and so is the curse that Leo, the MC, accidentally gets put under. It's one of those where he has to do whatever the caster, Grimm, tells him to do--and of course they're rivals, you see where this is going--and then they have to go on this dangerous quest into a monster-ridden forest to find someone to help them get rid of it. And I'm both delighted and screaming at the ending because it isn't as neatly wrapped up as I expected it to be! Because it's the first book of a trilogy! But it's also brand new there isn't even a title or a release date for the next book, hence the screaming. I really really enjoyed this and I am going to be vibrating in place until I get to read the next one.

I forget how I even stumbled upon this one. I think it was through browsing the New Books section of the library website. Highly recommended pastime, if your library's got one.
